Superbowl nibbles for the non-football fan photographed Jan 28, 2013.Moe Doiron/The Globe and Mail

It's easy enough for obsessive footballs fans to make it through the Super Bowl without ever having to peel their eyes from the screen. (Order chicken wings and get a case of beer.) But the rest of us might not mind a little break here and there, and why eat wings (again) when there are such delicious ways to play with this year's Super Bowl geography? As every Ravens fan should know, Baltimore is all about great seafood, while the 49ers hail from the epicentre of California cuisine. Add host New Orleans, with its tradition of drinking and partying, and you have the makings of a big-game menu that will excite even the most ambivalent Super Bowlers.
