Even when throwing toppings on haphazardly, you’ll end up with something Instagram-worthy.Tad Seaborn/The Globe and Mail

If, like me, you normally see yogurt as a vehicle for honey, maple syrup or perhaps some maple syrup-flavoured oats, then let me clear the creamy canvas. Grab your Greek yogurt and create a savoury yogurt bowl. The tangy, rich density of the yogurt is the perfect showcase for crisp cucumber, juicy tomato, fruity olive oil, crunchy nuts, salty dried coconut, spicy sriracha or a swipe of pesto. Add fresh basil or cilantro, finish with lemon zest and don't forget some crunchy sea salt. And most important, even when throwing toppings on haphazardly, you'll end up with something Instagram-worthy. Here are a few combinations to inspire you, but feel free to mix and match.
