Hats off to Inniskillin for trying its hand at the tempranillo grape, a red variety scarcely found outside its native Spain, where it shines especially brightly in the vineyards of Rioja. This hails from a cool, short growing season in the Okanagan, delivering a light-medium-bodied frame and clean, crisp edge. There is admirable ripeness here if not the weight of previous vintages. Available in the West, direct from bc.inniskillin.com.
