wine review

The lifted, aromatic nose of this red inspires confidence that it will play out leaner than your average mid-priced sappy shiraz. Proof is in the pudding-free palate. It's medium-full-bodied, with a sweet start but tart, invigorating carry-through, and a big dusting of cracked pepper in the second act. Match it with grilled lamb chops or char-grilled burgers. Other vintages available in B.C. and Quebec.
