Stealth workout: Planting flowers for fitness

Gardening can be tough, but this exercise makes sure it’s a workout for your legs, core and shoulders

1 of 1

1. Stand with your feet parallel and hip-distance apart. Hold the flower basket and sit backward as if you were going to sit in a chair. Then engage your bum and core to stand up. Keep your core engaged as you press the basket over your head and hang it up. 2. If you want to lower a planter to the ground, reverse the motion. Start by pressing it over your head. Then, bring it to chest height and squat down. At the bottom of the squat, put the planter down.
