Andrew Fogliato: before and after

Andrew Fogliato 25, Aurora, Ont.

Pounds dropped: 69

My turning point

I was at a restaurant for a friend's birthday on a Saturday night. There was a mirror across from our table, and I saw my reflection and how squeezed I was in the booth, compared to my friends. I just looked way too big. I was 263 pounds then and I started my weight loss on the following Monday.

My method

I joined a local gym and hired a trainer for six sessions over a year. I also saw a nutritionist who showed me how poorly I was eating and more importantly, how much I was overeating. My entire weight loss came down to three things: portion control, healthier eating, and exercising three to five times a week. Change how you eat and you can change your body very easily – it all comes down to willpower.

My kryptonite

Pasta and Jujubes (not together, that would be weird!)
