A good sports flick doesn’t just psych you up; it actually boosts your testosterone and makes you a better athlete. In order, a highly personal list of some all-time greats:

1. Hoosiers (1986): The undisputed champion of underdog sagas charts the fortunes of small-town Hickory High School’s basketball team in 1950s’ Indiana. By the end, you’ll be convinced that God wants you on the floor.

2. When We Were Kings (1996): An Oscar-winning documentary about the 1974 Rumble in the Jungle between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman. The subtle chess match of the fight – and Ali’s charm – are hard to resist even if you don’t like boxing.
