Sit on the edge of the sofa. Straighten your right leg in front of you with your heel resting on the ground. Turn your leg so that your toes point outward. Make sure the rotation occurs from the hip, not just the foot.

Lift your right leg off the floor and engage all of the muscles in it, especially the ones running from the inside of your knee up to your hip. Hold for 10 seconds. Repeat five times then switch sides.
