Steve Campbell before and after his 60-pound weight loss.

Pounds Dropped: 60

My turning point: Three years ago, I was 240 pounds. My kids started poking me in my stomach. They were young and didn't mean much, but it got my attention. I wanted to be able to keep up with them as they got older, and that wasn't going to happen if I didn't change something.

My method: Every few weeks, I would make one change to my diet: no snacking after dinner, no beer on weeknights, smaller food portions, etc. Each change would be tough at first, but after a couple of weeks, it became part of my routine, and then it was time to make another change. After six to nine months, my eating habits were completely different. Then, my family and I started going to Muay Thai kickboxing (at Kombat Arts Training Academy in Mississauga.) The instructor and his team helped me lose those last pounds and keep me motivated to keep it off. Two years later, I'm in the best shape of my life. Although I still can't keep up with my kids.

My kryptonite: Red wine. I try to buy more expensive wine so that I can't afford to drink as much.
