Motorcycle jacket (Amy Verner) Downpours or heat waves notwithstanding, a leather motorcycle jacket is ideal outerwear. I throw it on over anything, day or night. Mine is from Balenciaga and cost a month's rent, but I will still be wearing it decades from now.

Unless you have a chauffeur, navigating fashion week means a lot of traipsing, mad dashing and standing - and none of that is fun in mega-platforms.
