Sunday, a 20-year-old entered the Guinness record books for solving five Rubik's Cube underwater in just 78 seconds (he held his breath). Personally, I'm working on the record for the longest solve ever, 30 years and counting. Because once you've been introduced to Hungarian architecture professor Erno Rubik's famous invention, you can't put it down. No wonder it's regarded as one of the bestselling toys of all time. It has obsessed millions of people (including Justin Bieber, who can solve one in under two minutes) since it was invented in 1974. It's time to share the puzzle with your kids. Watch them struggle with it, or kick back on the couch while they try to figure it out. Just don't get mad if they solve it quicker than you ever could.
