I get very excited for back-to-school shopping. I have gone back-to-school shopping with my grandma since I was four years old. I find stores that I like near the start of summer and get really excited throughout the summer to go shopping at them for the next school year.
Sometimes I get a new piece of clothing when I see it, but I get at least a new outfit every season. When I go to my grandparents’ house, we go to the mall at the end of the street; usually I get something new every time I go there.
I like to express what I like through clothing. When I look through fashion magazines with my friends, we discuss what we like and what we don’t. I don’t necessarily look to celebrities for ideas. I watch what my friends or peers wear, and if I like it I would look for it or something like it at the store.
I don’t actually consider myself sporty, but I like these clothes. This style is popular with my age group, for both girls and boys.
Usually I wear black tights, but I like these because they are a bit different. I like the rainbow down the side and that they are cropped. I would wear them anytime to a casual place, and would definitely wear them to school.
There is lots of space to store binders and books. I like pink the best, but I also like the blue one. It just has a different look than my current backpack.
I like sweaters that have a half-zip on them – the added detail of the zipper adds a detail to the top. I would wear it during the day at school and at home.
The thing I like best about these pants is the elastic bands at the bottom and the stripes down the side. I would wear these on a casual day at school or at home. For me, and for many girls at my school, they are a staple.
I like the quarter zipper and salt-and-pepper material. I might wear it with a short necklace, such as the one I’ve picked out here.
Slides are a really big thing for my age group. I know socks and sandals are a big no-no, but if it were really cold outside, then I would wear thick woolly socks – but I try not to.
I like the stripes down the arm and how it’s short and it has an elastic waistband. I would wear this jacket as a windbreaker for days that are a bit colder.
