NAFA Origin Assured: The North American Fur Association is an umbrella label for the North America Fur Auctions, the largest auction house for wild furs in the world. It is comprised entirely of fur producers and brands fur categories - NAFA Mink, NAFA Fox - to reflect highest quality and humane sourcing standards.

Sustainable fur: Regulations mandate that trappers must continually cultivate and replenish stocks. According to NAFA, for instance, there are more beavers in Canada today than when explorers began settling centuries ago.

Agreement on International Humane Trapping Standards (AIHTS): Canada, the United States, the European Union and Russia entered into this agreement in 2007, committing themselves to a lengthy list of criteria ensuring scientifically researched and humane methods for obtaining wild fur.

Wild fur versus ranched fur: In North America, mink and fox are the most popular ranched animals, whereas wild furs are sourced from beaver, raccoon, coyote, red fox, wild mink and muskrat.
