The world's most eligible bachelor may soon be unavailable: Rumours from across the pond say that Prince Harry is going to marry his girlfriend Cressida Bonas.

British media outlets are understandably abuzz over the news that the rugged and handsome Harry could soon take the plunge.

The youngest son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana drew huge crowds on a royal visit to Sydney, Australia, over the weekend. And most of the flag-waving fans that turned out were young females hoping to catch a glimpse of Harry's ginger hair and dreamy blue eyes.

But Harry's days as a One Direction-esque idol could be coming to an end. The Telegraph reports that Harry's current girlfriend Ms. Bonas has finally shaken off her fears of marrying into the Royal Family and friends predict that a wedding announcement is in the cards.

"Cressie is going to marry Harry," one of Bonas' unnamed friends told The Telegraph. "Harry never stops talking about marriage and children, and she has now got used to the idea. The wedding is likely to take place next year."

Few Royal-watchers are surprised by the news that Harry, who turns 30 next year, wants to get hitched to Bonas, 24.

According to most reports, the man known informally as the "Party Prince" was immediately smitten with Bonas after he was introduced to her by his cousin, Princess Eugenie, in May, 2012.

As the tabloid coverage goes, Harry has been trying to steer Bonas toward marriage, but she's been putting him off.

"Harry is coming on very strong, but she is all over the place. She thinks she is far too young to get married and is scared by all his talk of marriage and settling down."

But true love always finds a way, right? Last fall, when Harry was sent to serve with the British military in Afghanistan, the couple were reportedly in daily telephone contact throughout his four-month tour of duty. Since his return, they're been practically inseparable.

Why, just last week, the couple went to a James Blunt concert in London, and the next night they were in attendance at The Book of Mormon at a West End theatre.

Bonas' family has direct links to Edward VII and her family is reputed to be a tad bohemian, which is apparently one of the reasons Harry is drawn to her.

Her mother is Lady Mary-Gaye Curzon, a former "It Girl" in swinging sixties London, and her father is Lady Mary-Gaye's third husband, businessman Jeffrey Bonas.

Bonas studied dance at Leeds University and graduated from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire earlier this year. Before going to Leeds, Bonas spent a year working in a bar in Australia.
