Jimmy Fallon is now peddling black-market jokes. The Late Night host has made some hilarious television spoofs, including Downton Sixbey and Game of Desks. Now comes his funniest yet, a near 13-minutes long parody of the AMC drama Breaking Bad.
In the video, released Thursday morning, Fallon is told he has six months … as host of Late Night. When he catches the show's announcer selling jokes on the street in a role sending up Breaking Bad's Jesse Pinkman, complete with prolific use of the B-word, he decides the pair can make "fat stacks" selling jokes.
The viral video, called Joking Bad, features cameos by the real life show's stars, including Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul and Bob Odenkirk. Fans of Breaking Bad will catch the in-jokes and references to the show's first five seasons, which include one hysterical sequence near the end that includes a certain someone, who will go unnamed, dinging a bell.
The video has been called "brilliant meta-parody" and is being raved about on Twitter.
With Breaking Bad nearing its end, fans are waiting to find out what happens to high-school chemistry teacher turned meth dealer Walter White. And they know it will be a long time before another show this good comes along.
But at least now they've got this brilliant spoof to see them through the dark times.
