Wayne Gretzky's 22-year-old daughter shut down her Twitter account, and some are wondering if she did so because the Great One wasn't pleased with the racy self-portraits that his daughter frequently posted.

Paulina Gretzky, the eldest of five children, is an aspiring musician/actor/model still waiting for a career in any of those fields to take off. But she has achieved a certain sort of fame: she's a Twitter legend.

Last month, Coed Magazine was smitten enough to post her 77 sexiest Twitpics. Earlier this month theChive.com posted a gallery of Paulina's Twitter pictures under the headline "Paulina Gretzky is using the Twitter machine properly."

There are pictures of Paulina lying in bed in her underwear, of Paulina out partying in a skimpy black dress, of her in various low-cut tops, and a variety of other images sure to make a dad's head explode.

But no more. Her Twitter account was deleted over the weekend, to the dismay of her besotted followers.

No one has confirmed that Wayne was behind the decision to shut down Paulina's Twitter account, but one of Paulina's tweets shortly before her account was closed seems to support that conclusion: "Having a nice sit down dinner with my dad about social media..haha #SIKEEE."

For the sake of argument, let's suppose the account was shuttered because Mr. Gretzky objected. Is it fair that he gets to interfere with his daughter's life even though she's 22 and therefore an adult?
