Is your exercise regimen ruining your relationship?

Demanding workout plans, like training for triathlons, marathons and other endurance sports, can drive couples apart, The Wall Street Journal reports.

It's an occurrence that one triathlon coach and blogger calls "Divorce by Triathlon"; if you're spending the bulk of your free time focusing on your physique, it won't just be your pecs and quads that are sore.

"Exercise is getting more and more couples into my office," Cincinnati marriage and family therapist Karen Gail Lewis tells WSJ.

Besides the time commitment, which causes couples to fight over who takes on the household duties and how much free time each can claim, one person's new washboard abs and uber-fit training pals can make their partner feel insecure.

The ultimate solution is for both spouses to start training, WSJ says.

And if that's not going to happen, some couples say cheering from the sidelines helps cut the tension too.

For all you exercise widows out there, how do you deal with your partner's workout schedules?
