A new poll suggests that all those Facebook baby photos are really adding up.

It may not surprise parents who post photos of their newborns before they're even home from the hospital, but most children in developed nations have a digital footprint before age two. And a sizable 25 per cent of them are online before they're born, research reveals. (That's thanks to such new traditions as posting murky ultrasound images.) In the United States, 92 per cent of children under two have an online presence - the highest among the countries studied by Internet security company AVG., according to a piece on Information Week.

The company surveyed 2,200 mothers with children under the age of two in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Canada, the U.S., Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
