Online coupon service Groupon and online travel agency Expedia Inc have created a website to offer people travel deals and to let travel suppliers expose their brands to shoppers.

Groupon Getaways will feature discounts from among the more than 135,000 hotels worldwide that work with Expedia, the companies said. Groupon Getaways will start in the United States and Canada, and then expand to other countries.

Expedia and the privately held Groupon also plan to include package deals, airline tickets, car rentals, cruises and destination activities. They plan to start the service in late June.
