London - There's a new club in Soho and it's not the type that plays techno until the wee hours. Owned by former nightclub promoter Robert Pereno, his wife Babette and literary agent Carrie Kania, The Society Club is as eclectic as its owners. It's actually a shop, of sorts, selling everything from first-edition books and limited-edition prints to vintage furniture, homemade jam and mustache wax. Take tea and cake on the communal table that runs through the centre of the shop. The owners also promise upcoming poetry readings, live music sessions and storytelling nights.
