M.Y. YOGI is a 60-metre private mega yacht built to accommodate up to 12 guests.

The latest openings and events from around the world.

Monaco - Supersize your yachting experience on MY Yogi. The 60-metre private mega-yacht accommodates up to 12 guests and offers the amenities of a swanky resort (think Hermès toiletries, Baccarat glassware and a crew-to-guest ratio of 1.25 to 1). Take a dip in the glass-bottom freshwater infinity pool, soak in the Jacuzzi or ride the waves on Jet Skis. Film buffs can watch their favourite flick in the on-board cinema. All six staterooms are more spacious than the average cabin, but the master suite has its own private entrance, his-and-her bathrooms, a dressing room and office space. Harboured in Monaco, the yacht can be chartered in the Caribbean from December to March and the Mediterranean from May to September. A week onboard starts from $484,000 (U.S.). yogiyacht.net

Sleek new sleepover

Amsterdam - A 19th-century bank turned music conservatory turned luxury hotel is set to become one of the city's hottest it-spots. Centrally located near the designer-studded P.C. Hooftstraat shopping strip, The Conservatorium Hotel – taking reservations for December on – is designed to lure visitors and locals alike. Hang out on one of the plush sofas in the glass-ceilinged atrium lobby lounge, dine on locally sourced fare made by Dutch chef Schilo van Coevorden, or soak your aches away in the Wastu pool at the holistic spa. If you're staying the night, reserve one of the duplex suites. Italian architect and industrial designer Piero Lissoni has combined the building's sturdy structural features (exposed beams and brickwork are visible throughout) with such sleek finishes as oversize windows, solid wooden floors and contemporary neutral-toned furnishings. The end result is loft-like and offers more space and style than other hotels in the vicinity. conservatoriumhotel.com

Tea, cake & mustache wax

London - There's a new club in Soho and it's not the type that plays techno until the wee hours. Owned by former nightclub promoter Robert Pereno, his wife Babette and literary agent Carrie Kania, The Society Club is as eclectic as its owners. It's actually a shop, of sorts, selling everything from first-edition books and limited-edition prints to vintage furniture, homemade jam and mustache wax. Take tea and cake on the communal table that runs through the centre of the shop. The owners also promise upcoming poetry readings, live music sessions and storytelling nights. On now is a display of photos entitled Unseen Photos Of London's Clubland, 1976-1984, featuring snapshots of 1980s musical icons Sade, Spandau Ballet and Boy George. thesocietyclub.com
