A smooth dogfish is pictured after having being swallowed by a sand tiger shark, which in turn was caught by researchers at the University of Delaware's Ocean Exploration, Remote Sensing, Biogeography (ORB) Lab in this July 19, 2013 handout photo. The shark-within-a-shark situation occurred when researchers in Delaware Bay baited a hook with a menhaden, a common marine fish, in order to capture sand tiger sharks that had previously been tagged. The bait was taken by the dogfish, which in turn was swallowed by the tiger shark.
