The rescued sea otter named Walter, who was blinded by a shotgun blast and deemed non-releasable due to his extensive injuries, swims around in his new home at the Vancouver Aquarium in Vancouver, British Columbia, Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Walter was rescued on October 18, 2013 near Tofino, BC and after 11 weeks of rehabilitation at the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Mammal Rescue Centre, Walter, was moved to the Aquarium.Rafal Gerszak/The Globe and Mail
