The photo was taken in northern Alberta. The photo depicts two locomotives paired with a tank car fuel tender. The caboose at the end of the train is not used in regular freight service with the locomotives.

A Lytton, B.C., man is dead after being hit by a CN train.

RCMP say the 33-year-old was walking along the railway system near the Village of Lytton, about 60 kilometres south of Lillooet, when he was struck.

Police say the man had been walking with a group of friends at the time.

First responders attended the scene, but the man could not be saved.

Police say they are investigating the circumstances that led to the accident, which shut down the rail line for six hours.

They say the man's family has been notified, but his identity will not be released yet.
