hot ticket chutzpah! festival

Noord Nederlandse Dans will feature at the Chutzpah! Festival in Vancouver.

Take in groundbreaking theatre, dance and live music at the Chutzpah! Festival, a favourite annual fest that features Jewish performing arts and collaborations from around the globe.

Kicking off the fest is the world premiere of A Blessing on the Moon, a theatrical adaptation of the famed Joseph Skibell novel about an afterlife search for peace and wisdom that features Poland's Warsaw Village Band.

Other theatre offerings include Larry Blum's witty inside look at Tinsel Town called Blink & You Might Miss Me, and the story of a boy-king who learns what's important in life in King Matt the First.

Dance lovers can treat themselves to performances by acclaimed Dutch company Noord Nederlandse Danse, Los Angeles' Body Traffic and Vancouver's own Noam Gagnon; and if you're a music buff, don't miss Israeli pop star Hadag Nahash at the Commodore or global sounds by Israeli singer and musician Idan Raichel with legendary guitarist Vieux Farka Touré.

The Chutzpah! Festival runs until March 11. For information and tickets, visit chutzpahfestival.com.
