Man killed in avalanche on B.C.’s Boulder Mountain

Police have confirmed a man was caught and killed in an avalanche on Boulder Mountain in the West Kootenay region of B.C.

Constable Lesley Smith says that Revelstoke RCMP and search and rescue crews were dispatched to the area Saturday afternoon.

Smith says a total of three snowmobilers were at the site of the accident, near the Boulder Mountain snowmobile cabin.

The other two people escaped, and appear to be unharmed.
