Elisa Lam

Elisa Lam, 21, of Vancouver has been missing for six days, last seen in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) held a press conference on February 6 seeking the public's help in locating the Canadian woman.

The LAPD characterized her disappearance as "suspicious" in a press release because of the lack of contact with her family. Lam was in daily contact with her parents, who were at the press conference, until January 31. The LAPD become involved February 5.

Lam was traveling through southern California by herself and last seen by staff at the Cecil hotel in downtown Los Angeles. She arrived in Los Angeles on January 26 and the final stop of her trip was going to be Santa Cruz.

Lam is 5 foot 4 inches, 115 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes and is of Chinese descent. She speaks English and Cantonese.
