Emergency officials say there are no leaks from 23 rail cars that went off the tracks west of Moose Jaw, Sask.

Tom Overs, commander of the Moose Jaw fire department, says the Canadian Pacific Railway train derailed about 2 p.m. local time He did not say what the cars were carrying.

Overs said no cars were leaking.

RCMP spokeswoman Mandy Maier said the site is being assessed and cleanup is underway.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating.
