McGillLeaks releases confidential donor information

McGillLeaks released documents containing information about key donors and industry-university partnerships on Tuesday, with most of the files belonging to the department of Development and Alumni Relations, reports the McGill Daily. The documents were sent to members of the student society and the release is the second time the hacker group has released internal documents.

Brain drain from Alberta's universities feared

Cuts to the budgets of Alberta's universities could lead to faculties disappearing, faculty at the University of Alberta say. A faculty association has said they expect some professors to look elsewhere next year in anticipation of deeper cuts to come in 2014-2015.

A break after high school is all good

Taking a gap year has no impact on a student's success either in gaining employment or their success in postsecondary. But students who took time off from education after high school were more likely to choose college.
