Lac-Mégantic has become one of the worst railway disasters in the country. The process of finding and identifying about 50 victims has been complicated by the power of the explosions and fires. With official identification of the victims promising to be a long and slow process involving medical records and DNA, The Globe and Mail has conducted dozens of interviews to paint as complete a picture of the human side of the tragedy as possible. The list will continue to grow as the names of the dead are confirmed.
