Police and city bylaw officials have cleared the last remaining tents from the Occupy Regina protest site.

The city says police went to Victoria Park in downtown Regina late Tuesday and found two people in the park along with nine tents.

Both people were given tickets, bringing the total to nine tickets issued since Monday.

Police and city staff went back to the park at 5 a.m. and found the tents empty and the site abandoned.

The tents and other items were removed.

Extra security is on the site and the situation is being monitored to make sure the camp isn't moved somewhere else.
