This graph shows Canadians aged 18 or older with a high BMI (body mass index). The BMI is a ratio of weight-to-height. A BMI between 25 and 29.9 puts someone in the 'overweight' category; a BMI of 30 or more indicates obesity.

Overall, 52.3 per cent of Canadians reported being overweight or obese.
