Vancouver police are asking to speak to more witnesses to the shooting of Paul Boyd, a 39-year-old animator with a mental illness who was suffering from paranoid delusions when officers shot him dead.

Constable Howard Chow called for any passengers on a city bus thought to have been driving down Granville Street at about 9:20 p.m. on Aug. 13 to come forward.

"It is believed that that bus would have stopped at that incident, when the shooting was taking place ... many of these people on the bus have not yet been identified," Constable Chow said.

The bus would have been travelling south toward Delta, and would have left Burrard Station just shortly after 9 p.m.

Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are asked to call investigators at 604-717-2500.
