Ontario provincial police say they clocked a car doing double the speed limit just north of Toronto, and have charged a Thornhill, Ont., man with stunt driving.
Police allege a Lexus was travelling at 200 kilometres an hour in a 100-km/h zone on Highway 407 early today.
The vehicle was stopped without incident.
Forty-seven-year-old Timothy Leon has a court date Nov. 22 in Newmarket to face the stunt-driving charge.
The legislation calls for an immediate seven-day licence suspension and seizure of the vehicle for seven days.
