As Remembrance Day approaches, The Globe and Mail is looking to soldiers and their loved ones to help us tell the story of veterans, both old and new, in Canada.

To contribute to the project:

Send us your stories E-mail your stories of wartime experience, either from the battlefield or the homefront, to community@globeandmail.com or share them in the comments below. If you are an older veteran, what advice or wisdom would you share with a soldier who has recently returned home? Your contributions will help inform and shape The Globe and Mail's November 11 edition.

Send us your photos Contribute to our project on Canada's soldiers throughout history by sending in your own photos or the photos of a loved one. Please send us any details that explain the story behind the photo and what it means to you.

Or do you have a wartime photo in your family's history that you have few details about? Send us your questions and photos, and a selection of contributions will be part of a series examining lost stories of soldiers at war. To submit your photos and details, e-mail us. (Please note all submissions will be considered by The Globe for publication online and in print. For full terms of use, please click here.)

Share your wartime mementoes What are the things that soldiers have carried with them during war? And what mementoes have soldiers carried home with them? Send us your photos and stories of wartime mementoes to community@globeandmail.com
