Winnipeg police say they haven't forwarded a report to the Crown in the death of a disabled man who waited 34 hours in a hospital emergency room.
They say their investigation into the case of Brian Sinclair is ongoing.
The Winnipeg Free Press reported that police had recommended the Health Sciences Centre be charged with failing to provide the necessities of life.
The newspaper also reported that police were suggesting an emergency room employee be charged with criminal negligence causing death.
Sinclair was a 45-year-old double-amputee who died in 2008 after failing to get treatment for a simple bladder infection.
Police say in a statement that they won't comment further while the investigation continues.
