How we stacked up: Revisiting The Globe's 50 ridings to watch

The Big 50 did indeed tell the tale.

The Globe identified 50 seats across Canada that would be especially important for deciding the outcome of this election. In an exercise of courage over discretion, we also predicted the outcome in each riding, except for those that were simply too close to call. As the final summaries attest, who won and who lost in the Big 50 - and why - offers a portrait in miniature of this election campaign.

As for our predictions, when you leave out the ones we declared a toss-up, our success rate was 66 per cent.
