Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff and his wife Zsuzsanna Zsohar wave as they get off their campaign plane in Montreal.

Michael Ignatieff is spending his entire Thursday in Montreal, campaigning in Outremont and Westmount Ville Marie.

But the Liberal leader is hoping to reach Quebecers across the province. In the afternoon he takes part in a youth discussion that includes an online component, but the big gamble comes later in the day. That's when he sits down to tape an episode of Tout le Monde en Parle, a popular and fast-paced francophone talk show known for putting its guests on the hot seat. The show will air Sunday.

NDP Leader Jack Layton will start the day with an appearance on Sun TV in Toronto. At mid-morning he will be campaigning in the city and he will attend a campaign rally in Brampton in the early evening.

Conservative Leader Stephen Harper begins the day in St. John's before heading to Nova Scotia and the Cape Breton riding of Sydney-Victoria, where the Tories are trying to topple incumbent Liberal Mark Eyking.

Bloc Québécois Leader Gilles Duceppe campaigns in Quebec City and surrounding area, including a visit to Barbo Shoes in Charlesbourg.
