NDP Leader Jack Layton begins the day in Saint John, where he will hold a mid-morning campaign event. In the early evening he arrives back in the Ottawa area. The party will hold a rally in Gatineau, an area of Quebec where Mr. Layton hopes the rising interest in the NDP will translate into two more seats for his caucus.
