Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, will pay a royal visit to Canada in May.
The tour, which comes at the invitation of the federal government, is to include stops in Manitoba, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
The announcement was made today by Governor General David Johnston.
"Sharon and I are looking forward to seeing them once again, as they spend some time here in Canada," Johnston said on Twitter.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper said the visit comes as Canada begins five years of major commemorations, including the centennial of the outbreak of the First World War this year and the country's 150th birthday in 2017.
"Canadians look forward to having their royal highnesses with us for these and other important moments in the history of our country," he said in a statement.
It will be the 17th Canadian visit for Prince Charles and the third for the duchess.
They were last in Canada in 2012 to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
That four-day visit included stops in New Brunswick, Ontario and Saskatchewan.
A detailed program for this year's tour will be released later.
