Caribbean Carnival Grand Parade
The marquee event of the Trinidadian-style carnival formerly known as Caribana. Masqueraders bejewelled to the hilt and steel-pan bands in full celebrative mode will peacock their way from Exhibition Place along a 3.5-kilometre stretch of Lake Shore Boulevard. OVO Fest
Apparently Drake is in the early stages of building a mansion on the outskirts of his native Toronto. Until it's completed, however, he'll continue to use the Molson Amphitheatre as his once-a-year pleasure pad. There, the man born Aubrey Drake Graham hosts a two-day festival that has reunited Hey Ya! hit makers Outkast as Sunday's headliner and himself on the event's second day. Who else plays is anybody's guess, but if Beyoncé and Jay Z show up on Monday no one should be surprised. Aug. 3 and 4, 7 p.m. $66.50 to $174.75. Dusk Dances
An annual summer attraction involves an early evening program of park-set dances, along with the singer-songwriter Justin Rutledge to warm things up. This year's choreography involves classical mask dancers, synchronized swimming, a foursome of fleeing females and Incandescent, inspired by the lyrics of Leonard Cohen's Anthem – "there is a crack, a crack in everything / that's how the light gets in." Veld Music Festival
The Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea will be make a cameo appearance in the upcoming Fast & Furious 7 action film, but she is a featured act most other places she goes. Indeed, fast and furious might best describe the Australian star's ascent to international success. Ms. Azalea is Sunday's headliner at a two-day situation devoted to electronic dance music, with trance and boogie instigators Calvin Harris and Sebastian Ingrosso up to their tricks. Before and after the Horizon: Anishinaabe Artists of the Great Lakes
A major survey of Anishinaabe artists showcases contemporary works in multiple media by Norval Morrisseau, Bonnie Devine, Robert Houle, Keesic Douglas, Michael Belmore, Daphne Odjig and others. Themes explored include cottager colonialism, the cosmos and contested space – the common thread being the traditional Anishinaabe home in the Great Lakes and its connections to outsiders and to the universe.
