Cyclist in Toronto killed in collision with streetcar

A cyclist was killed in a collision with a streetcar in Toronto on Friday morning.

The man was riding a bicycle at Spadina Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard West just before 7:30 a.m. ET when the crash happened.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, said Constable Isabelle Cotton. Initial reports said the man was trapped under the streetcar.

The area was closed to traffic for three hours as part of the police investigation.

The man's identity has not been released.
