Right-wing councillor Rob Ford swept into the mayor's office Monday night on promises to slash city spending, cut taxes, kill the expansion of streetcar routes in Toronto's suburbs and make the city more business friendly.

With a clear mandate but few natural allies on council, what can we expect from Mr. Ford and the next four years at City Hall? How does he build consensus? How easily can he move forward on his agenda?
