Singer Andria Simone performs at this week's Annual Women's Blues Revue.

Annual Women's Blues Revue
If the blues elemental Mannish Boy is performed at this popular annual showcase, it will be sung in the third person. Divine Brown, Diana Braithwaite, Shakura S'Aida, Lori Yates, Samantha Martin and the fast-rising Andria Simone perform in minor keys and major ways. Nov. 22, 8 p.m. $25 to $55. Massey Hall, 178 Victoria St., 416-872-4255 or masseyhall.com.

Cinderella: The Gags to Riches Family Musical
Entendres, on the double. For this new pantomime version of the famous fairy tale about a charismatic prince and pumpkin-based transit, the writer-comedian Reid Janisse has whipped up a script that is bound to be saucy for the adults and nutty for the pipsqueaks. To Jan. 4, 2015. $34 to $93. Elgin Theatre, 189 Yonge St., 1-855-599-9090 or rosspetty.com.

Gourmet Food & Wine Expo
Twenty years ago when this foodie fair was first invented, the words "artisanal" and "gluten-free" and "foodie" weren't even things. Those were simpler times, but now we can celebrate two-tier drinking and eating practices at a four-day fandango of tutorials, tastings and trend-chasing. To Nov. 23. $20 to $60. Metro Toronto Convention Centre, 255 Front St. W., foodandwineexpo.ca.

Nijinsky
After its successful Canadian premiere of John Neumeier's dreamy and layered Nijinsky last season, the National Ballet of Canada brings back the biographic ballet about the dancing Russian genius Vaslav Nijinsky and his disabling descent into madness. Nov. 22 to 30. $26 to $249. Four Seasons Centre, 145 Queen St. W., 416-345-9595 or national.ballet.ca.

Nikki Payne
It's not everyone who can take fart jokes to a higher art form – and thank god the indomitable Nikki Payne doesn't bother trying. She's coarse, spunky and outrageous with her occasional flatulence-based humour, which suits her fan base just fine. Nov. 21 and 22, 8 and 10:30 pm. $19.47. Yuk Yuk's, 224 Richmond St. W., 416-967-6425 or yukyuks.com.
