Toronto Mayor Rob Ford aired a new excuse for lying about smoking crack cocaine on Monday as he and his brother, Toronto City Councillor Doug Ford, launched their Ford Nation presence on YouTube on Monday.

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford and his brother Doug Ford reveal colourful new details from their Hollywood trip in the latest episodes of their YouTube show, describing late-night host Jimmy Kimmel as an "underdog," and slamming both TMZ and actor Kevin Spacey.

Mayor Ford and his councillor brother spent several days in Los Angeles earlier this month, where the mayor appeared on Mr. Kimmel's show. In three new Ford Nation episodes uploaded Friday morning, the mayor and his brother describe that trip, where they also attended a post-Oscars party and visited L.A's city hall.

Although the Fords are enthusiastic in their praise of L.A., they say they weren't impressed by everything.

Councillor Ford took shots at Mr. Spacey, whom he describes in the video as an "arrogant SOB." The House of Cards actor appeared in a post-Oscars teaser for Mr. Kimmel's show the same night as the mayor, and Doug Ford says that, backstage, the actor refused to take photos with them.

After the mayor tells Doug, "I don't watch movies. I wouldn't know him if I ran him over," the councillor replies, "We were told you can't take a picture and you can't speak to him. Who does this character think he is? He thinks he's God?"

The Fords also took shots at a TMZ article posted shortly after the mayor's appearance at the Oscars after-party at the W Hollywood Hotel. The article, titled "'Crack Mayor' Rob Ford Loaded with Chick Magnets at Oscar Party," claimed that the mayor had purchased a $2,500 cabana to party at the hotel. The Globe and Mail reported earlier this month that the cabana was in fact purchased by a local businessman, who invited the mayor as his guest.

In response to the TMZ report, Doug Ford calls the website "trash, gossip media," before adding, "if I wasn't too busy sitting here with you, I'd be suing their asses off, to be frank with you."

The Fords also devoted an entire episode to Mr. Kimmel, who they confirmed will be appearing on their own YouTube show in the future. (Details of that appearance have yet to be released.)

During the mayor's appearance on Mr. Kimmel's show earlier this month, the late-night host took repeated jabs at Mr. Ford for his police and drug scandals, before closing the segment by urging him to stop drinking. But Doug Ford took his own jabs at Mr. Kimmel in the new YouTube videos, calling him an "underdog" who's "a little lower in the ratings behind Jimmy Fallon."

The strangest moment of the three new Ford Nation episodes comes at the end of the show titled "Ford goes to Hollywood!" Doug Ford complains about local Toronto councillors, whom he describes as "hypocrites" and "as phony as a three-dollar bill."

A chuckling Mayor Ford cuts his brother off, saying, "Oh man, you're going to be in trouble." He then begins to sing Bad Boys, the theme song from the show Cops.

"Fasten your seat belts," Doug Ford says. "This is going to be the most exciting YouTube you've ever seen in your entire lives."
