Fresh sexual-assault charges have been laid against a former Toronto figure-skating star and coach, first arrested last year in connection with similar allegations dating back to the 1980s.

Kevin Michael Hicks, 53, was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with three counts of indecently assaulting a boy aged 12-13 over a period of several months.

He was to appear in court on Finch Avenue West later in the day.
