A 49-year old Toronto transit worker killed on the job last week will be laid to rest on Wednesday.

Peter Pavlovski was killed Friday after being struck by a service train just north of the city.

Mr. Pavlovski, a married father of three, had been an employee of the Toronto Transit Commission for 22 years.

He was supervising a crew of seven workers on an elevated track area north of Yorkdale station when he was struck by the southbound train around 4:45 a.m.

A second man was also struck but sustained only minor injuries.
