GO Transit has suspended train service on the Lakeshore East line, east of Pickering station, because of a fuel spill overnight.

Shuttle buses will be available for commuters travelling between Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa.

Late Friday night, a train became disabled after it hit some debris on the track and it's fuel tank was ruptured.

The incident caused a fuel leak.

More than 100 passengers were on board the train, but no one was hurt.

Crews have been cleaning up the spill.
