Toronto police say they've made an arrest in a murder case from 14 years ago.

Derek Wayne Brown, 42, was arrested Saturday by the fugitive squad, assisted by the Gun and Gang Task Force and the Intelligence Division, on an outstanding arrest warrant dating back to March 2000.

He has been charged with first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder in connection with a downtown shooting that left one man dead and three other people injured.

Police say the early-morning shooting happened on March 4, 2000, at The Spin Cat Club (at 1 Isabella Street).

One of the victims, Andrew Robotham, 32, was killed by a gunshot to the head.

Of the other three victims, two suffered gunshot wounds to the head while another person suffered cuts from flying glass.
