Toronto police say 23 people were arrested and charged in a raid on four marijuana dispensaries Thursday.
Police say those arrested are facing charges related to drugs or the proceeds of crime.
They say officers seized marijuana, hashish and hashish oil as well as more than $29,500 in cash.
The raids come a month after police, accompanied by city municipal licensing and standards officials, carried out search warrants at 43 locations and arrested 90 people, including shop owners and employees.
A coalition of marijuana dispensaries have have called for charges laid in last month's raids to be dropped.
But police Chief Saunders says the dispensaries are operating illegally and police will continue to conduct such raids until they stop selling marijuana.
