Toronto's mayoral candidates face off for their second all-candidates debate Saturday, taking on the issue of green energy at Exhibition Place's Direct Energy Centre.

Since they drew first blood in their first debate March 29, there have been few platform revelations: Joe Pantalone reiterated his municipal track record and ability as the only credible left-wing candidate to carry on Mayor David Miller's legacy; Rocco Rossi has reiterated his opposition to bike lanes on motorist arteries; George Smitherman lost a campaign manager (and gained two new ones), and reiterated his opposition to Mr. Rossi's proposal to sell Toronto Hydro; Rob Ford reiterated his desire to eliminate waste at City Hall and listen to taxpayers at all costs; Sarah Thomson announced plans for rejuvenating the city's infrastructure and was endorsed by media baron Conrad Black writing from his Florida jail.

But, more significantly, after a poll put Mr. Ford in second place to Mr. Smitherman, it's likely the 10-year veteran of city hall will be taking more of the heat from his mayoral opponents.
